what you need to succeed in this role

  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Bash, Python, or GoLang.
  • Familiarity with Docker containerization technology.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux system administration, particularly Debian/Ubuntu distributions.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, including Bitbucket Pipelines and Git.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Knowledge of high availability (HA) concepts and open-source tools for HA implementation.
  • Ability to work with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform.
  • Understanding of technologies such as Kafka, Redis, Nginx, Apache HTTP Server, and OpenVPN.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL, including:

    Running basic queries

    Managing user accounts

    Assigning privileges

    Performing backups

    Conducting data migrations

    Resolving performance-related issues

  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, proxy servers, and load balancers.

  • Strong knowledge of common network protocols, including HTTP(S), DNS, SSH, TCP/IP, and RESTful web services.

  • Practical experience in building scalable, high-performance systems, particularly in production environments.

  • Experience with monitoring and metrics tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Thanos.
  • Knowledge of JVM-based technologies.
  • Familiarity with logging and observability tools like Kibana, FluentD, and Elasticsearch.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in areas like IAM, GKE, VPC, Compute Engine, and databases.
  • Understanding of AWS services, including S3, Route53, IAM, and ECR.
  • Experience with OVH services, such as Load Balancing, public cloud, and virtual machines.
